A toothless fish named Garra Rufa also known as “doctor fish”, is now being used at SPAs in the US to perform Pedicures, the fish nibble at dead skin while leaving the healthy flesh untouched, providing a natural alternative to razors, clippers or pumice stones.
Customers dip their feet in a tank with about 100 fish inside, then the fish start chewing away hard skin for around 30 minutes.
