A threesome for Max

June 27, 2010 · 5 Comments

Biaggi won both races today at Misano, he led form the middle in race one up to two thirds of the race when he decided to take the lead…in race two he managed to break away from the rest and was impossible to catch.

Race was fun, it was a fight between the titans, Biaggi 39, Corser 37, and Checa 40.

Corser on the BMW led 17 laps of race one, and gave us a nice show until he got tired.. thats when Biaggi Aprilia and Checa on the Ducati made their move.

An evening at the Autodrom

May 25, 2010 · 12 Comments

A couple of weeks ago we got an email from Ducati UAE inviting us to the opening of the Dubai showroom, we were also asked to register for a chance to win a one-to-one session with Troy Bayless.

We had the time so we decided to drive 1300km to Dubai, be part of the event, race our bikes at the Autodrom, and have dinner with Troy Bayliss.

I had some complications and i ended up flying to Dubai while my friend towed the bikes alone all the way to Dubai, and from the photo above i think he enjoyed the 1300km drive to Dubai ;-) (more…)

Dear Ducastiti and Ducati Enthusiast,

We are pleased to announce the opening of the New Ducati Showroom in Dubai on 22nd May 2010 at 5pm and would like to invite you to join us for this special event!

The New 3,000 sqft Showroom is dedicated to Ducati and to the Ducatistis. We have built a dealership with the latest store design from Italy with dedicated Motorcycles, Merchandise area, Parts & Accessories and last but not least with a state‐of‐the‐art workshop. Your new Home is located in Dubai’s Motor City at the Grandstand, unit 1 & 2 opposite Spinney’s. All the latest 2010 model year motorcycles and riding gear from leather suits and jackets, sliders, boots, body protectors to helmets with accessories as well as the casual apparel will be in the showroom waiting for you to be checked out. We will be offering Pirelli tyres supply and Shell oil for the motorcycles.

The 3 times World Superbike and Moto GP Champion, Troy Bayliss will be joining the Senior Management of Ducati Motor Holding Company here in Dubai to open the new Ducati Showroom on Saturday 22nd May at 5pm. This also means that you will have the opportunity to meet them.

From 5:30pm to 9pm, Dubai Autodrome’s Race Track will be opened only for Ducati. We have secured the track for our Ducatistis. You only need to bring your Ducati motorcycle and your riding gear (full face helmet, full leather jacket and trouser and gloves) and to register by email to marketing@ducati.ae before 19th May, provide us with your name, contact number and motorcycle model (it has to be a Ducati). All registered riders will be given a time allocated for 22nd May and will be requested to come to sign the waiver and get the safety briefing before going on the track.

With Troy Bayliss being in Dubai for the Opening, we would like to give ONE Ducati Rider from the UAE the unique opportunity to have a 20 minute on track one‐to‐one session with Troy at 6:30pm on 22nd May. If you wish to ride on the track with Troy, please email marketing@ducati.ae with your name, contact number and your motorcycle’s model. We will select one lucky winner via the “Tell a Friend” Campaign so the more friends you invite the greater your chance! The winner will be informed on the 18th May 2010.

Last but not least. The Worldwide acclaimed Multistrada 1200 S has finally arrived in the United Arab Emirates and will also be unveiled on the evening. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience all this in one evening. RSVP to marketing@ducati.ae with your name, contact number, your motorcycle (if you’re going on the track and if your wish to ride with Troy Bayliss).

We are looking forward to seeing you on 22nd May 2010 at 5pm in Motor City’s Grandstand.

Ride Safe!

Ducati Profumo

April 22, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Two years ago Ducati presented Desmorosso the Ducati wine,  in 2006 Ducati designed the bottle of the Z ZEGNA perfume for Ermenegildo Zegna, and now Ducati launches its first male perfume.

Ducati presents its first male fragrance, masterfully formulated by renowned perfume producer Morris Profumi. Characterised with the main ingredients of ‘design’, ‘style’ and ‘excellence’ infused into the ‘mix’, the new Ducati-labelled fragrance is specially designed for those who are motorcyclists at heart, who love freedom and a life lived passionately without limits.

Ducati Fragrance for Men symbolises a motorcycling success story that has become legendary. As if encapsulating an expression of Ducati’s DNA within its first fragrance, the mix hints of the natural and technological and suggests a refined interpretation of modern masculinity and natural charisma. The bottle design, in typical Ducati style, is sophisticated and yet without ostentation.

From the creative genius of Thierry de Baschmakoff, founder of Aesthete, comes the symbol of Ducati’s essence. The modern style bottle with a compact form draws direct parallels to the stunning design with which Ducati motorcycles stand out from the rest. Refined, metal-like surfaces gleam and alternate with others brushed and opaque, while the cap, essential and asymmetric, blends both circle and ellipse as if tracing the dynamic movement of engine internals.

The fragrance itself has been formulated by the ‘nose’ of Symrise, Emilie Coppermann, blending the naturaland contrasting aspects of bergamot, grapefruit, juniper, fig leaf, nutmeg, vetiver, wood and musk, isolating the very best of the green, citrus and woody olfactory fragrances.

Man, his fragrance and his motorcycle in absolute harmony, enhancing the Ducati lifestyle to perfection. The line includes Eau de Toilette, aftershave and deodorant.

The new middleweight Monster

April 20, 2010 · 1 Comment

Its official, we have a new member in the Monster family, the 796 Monster….it has the same 803cc engine of the 2010 Hypermotard 796 and its called the Desmodue.

The Desmodue or the Desmo 2 in English is a completely brand new lightweight engine designed to provide the torquey, smooth and enjoyable character of  the L-Twins.

I always thought that the 696 is under powered and the 1100 is overpowered, but now i believe Ducati got the recipe just right with the 796, the bike comes in 13 different color schemes and optional ABS.

Complete specs.
