Apple just launched the iPad, the device is just a bigger iPhone but without the phone, but with 3G connection that we can use to place VOIP calls, a lot of people my have been disappointed or was expecting something much more interesting than just a bigger iPod\iPhone, but i was expecting this since the day i got addicted to my iPhone, the damn thing dosn’t leave my hand..it goes to all the places i go to especially the toilet in the morning, either to listen to music while showering or to check and answer emails while….
I can conduct around 70% of my office work communication using my iPhone but at so many occasions i wished it had a bigger screen, faster processor, better battery life, and the ability to save files and open\play different media formats, the same goes for my laptop i always wanted a faster, lighter 12 inch Mac with better battery life -am still using my 12″ PB G4-.
With the new iPad i believe i can do it all, and i very much belive its going to be the next and only business\entertainment gadget one will ever need…come to think of it at the office most of us use their computers for email, internet, and socializing, at home we use our laptops for the same plus watching movie, listing to music, and gaming, the iPad will do all that and maybe more, so i guess we’ll soon say goodbye to our laptops or we’ll just use them edit home movies.

first, login via twitter. then type in an artist, track, and click the preview button twt.fm will then generate a track page for you using your twitter page design and you’ll be able to tweet it to your followers, if we can’t find a stream, you may also provide an mp3, youtube, or imeem link to your audio.

The internet at the hotel is lousy and very expensive -3 KD\hr- and advertising for the 3.6 HSDPA USB stick is here, there and everywhere, so we decided to get it… hailed a cab and asked him to take us to the nearest Vodafone branch…walked-in and asked for 2 devices on a prepaid plan..we were asked for ID thats when they found out that we are tourists and not residents and was turned down, the cab was still waiting for us outside to take us back to the hotel and he asked why we came back empty handed.. we told him..he asked if they would accept his ID we said we could try, so we went back in again he presented his ID and got us 2 devices.
The thing cost KD20, 10 for the device and another 10 for the unlimited plan!!!

Alboom Media just launched their news\advertisement ticker service, the ticker displays local and international news and updated 24/7, ticker can be downloaded to your PC and the news will scrolls at the top of the screen, users can view the news of a category of their choice -local, international, sports, entertainment, technology-without the hassle of browsing through many web sites especially at the office where you are supposed to work and not read news and stock tickers…clicking a news or image on the ticker will take you to the corresponding web page to view the full article, AlboomNews is customizable and the user can select from eight different languages, it’s also a great marketing tool for companies that would like to do some online marketing.
They only have PC version, a MAC version will follow soon and an iPhone app is in development.
